In Living Color: Black Art in Iowa

A lively artist reception and exhibition, house concert, and artist talk showcasing and celebrating Black art in Iowa.

I’ve been invited to a very special event that will be held at a private residence in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Akwi Nji coordinated and is hosting this event through her Threshold Gallery and is connecting audiences and artists, differently.

• Doors open at 4:30pm with music and an artist reception.
• From 5-7pm enjoy a full evening of music and mingling with artists, viewing their work, and a talk from special guest — nationally-renowned Chicago-based art collector Patrick McCoy.
• Reimagine your role in supporting Black artists in Iowa.
